Samsung will pay $650 million to Ericsson to end patent case

Samsung and Swedish company Ericsson has now settled by negotiation. Both companies announced on Monday that they have closed all cases and litigation against each other.

After the deal Korean tech giant will pay $650 million to Ericsson in addition to ongoing royalty payments, although the terms of the deal has not disclosed.

Samsung and the Swedish telecom manufacturer are being in the patent case since 2012, when Ericsson claimed that Samsung is violating its patent by using its touch screen functions, network efficiency and voice transmission.
